Our Design Process

At LTDesigns we mould our design services to meet our client's individual requirements by providing a flexible level of design assistance: from an inspirational design concept for you to implement yourself, through to a comprehensive design package which we project manage for your peace of mind from conception to completion.

Initial Consultation

LTDesigns service begins with a free of charge initial consultation with our head interior designer at your home.

This consultation provides you with the opportunity to view our portfolio and ask as many questions as you like about our company and our services. We will view your chosen space and assess the degree of involvement you require from us. Once we have a clear understanding of your design requirements we can advise you on which design package would best suit your needs.

Interior Design Service

We have divided this service into two payment options for the Concept Stage and given our clients the option of a break point before the Completion Stage. We do prefer to be a part of both stages as it ensures a perfect end product, but we like to give our clients the opportunity to use our design expertise to prepare a design concept without having to commit to the Completion Stage of the full Turnkey Project Management Service.

Concept Stage

After formally accepting LTDesigns services, your first design meeting will be arranged at your convenience.

This will be the start of the ‘Concept Stage' which varies according to the design service you have chosen. At these meetings we conduct a full survey, take photographs if needed, and begin the development of your design concepts. Throughout the process we discuss in length all aspects of your brief: likes, dislikes, room function, space organization, colour, light, time scale and budget. Furniture and finishes are sourced worldwide to deliver exquisite designs tuned individually to each client. We present and discuss all ideas, samples, finishes, fabrics, furniture, lighting, window treatments and spatial layouts that best suit your brief. Once you are happy with all design aspects & details for your new room, they will be depicted and presented to you at your home in the form of drawings and samples boards, with preliminary costing for the relevant work and finishes.

We have divided this service into 2 payment options:

Our 3 Design Packages range from £350 to £950 depending on the amount of design assistance your project entails. Should a bespoke design package be required we can tailor a package to suit your specific design needs.

An alternative to our Design Package Option is our Hourly Rate service, which is based on a rate of £70 per hour.

To ensure peace of mind we offer a risk free ‘escape' option to all our new clients who commit to one of our top two Interior Design Packages. If, during the initial concept design process, you are in anyway dissatisfied with our service, we offer the option of withdrawal and a full refund of your design fee.

Optional Break Point…

You may choose to implement the design yourself at this point & will be supplied with all documentation, specifications and drawings, that were covered in the design package chosen, in order for you to facilitate this.

Completion Stage: Project Management or Co-ordination

Should you require, LTDesigns offer a project management service on all of our projects.

This service is especially helpful for our busy clients who don't have the time to manage the project themselves.

Once you have approved all aspects of the design for your new room, we can implement the design and finish the room. This involves us project managing everything, from the ordering of materials and furniture, preparation of schedules, arranging of sub-contractors, overseeing of all installations, continuous site visits to inspect the progress, snagging and quality control. It ensures complete peace of mind and provides you with a hassle free service. By their very nature, project management services are complex and detailed. For this stage we prefer to work with our clients and agree a bespoke proposition according to their individual needs, either through a set handling percentage or on an hourly basis.

Personal Shopping

LTDesigns offers the service of accompanying our clients to shops, showrooms, fairs and auction houses in London to advise you on suitable fabrics, furniture and accessories for your design project as well as shopping on your behalf, to save you time and the stress that inevitably comes with a shopping trip.

‘Use what you have' Design Consultation

LTDesigns offers this service especially for those clients who only require basic design help.

This service simply provides design advice for our clients who would like help tying together or accenting what they already have and love. This could be anything from: colour scheming, wall treatment suggestions, floor coverings and finishes, window treatments, soft furnishings, furniture layouts, as well as any other advice you may need. Prior to this consultation we will establish precisely what all your requirements are and will bring all relevant and helpful information to your consultation meeting. Our clients who have used this service have been extremely pleased with the valuable advice gained during a short space of time.
